Brinsworth Playing Fields

Is a large open space which has an enclosed play area for children under the age of 10 years, a MUGA (Multi Use Games Area), separate swings and roundabout for older children, 3 football pitches, a bowling green and a half mile sign posted walk.

Dogs are welcome but we ask owners to pick up their mess and leave it in one of the numerous bins provided, we also ask that dogs are kept on leads.

The Field also plays host to the annual village fete and firework display.

Entrances to the park can be found on Field View, Whitehill Lane and Whitehill Road.

The Football Pitches

There are three football pitches available for use which are maintained by RMBC and Brinsworth Parish Council Amenity attendants.

Four Brinsworth Teams play their home matches on Brinsworth Playing Fields during the season, generally on a Sunday morning from 10.30 am.

The teams for 2018/19 season are:

AFC Thirsty Flame FC
Fairways White Rose FC
Three Magpies FC
Rotherham Westend FC

Pitch Fees are currently £45 per match and for an additional charge changing room facilities are available.

We are looking for more teams to use our facilities on Saturdays and weekday evenings and would love to welcome a lady’s team and a youth team or two to use us as their home ground.

We are currently seeking funding from the FA to refurbish our changing rooms.

The Bowling Green

The Bowling Green is home to Brinsworth Bowling Club but is also open to all residents of Brinsworth.

Our green is maintained by RMBC and open April until September (or a little longer if the weather stays fine!).

The Bowling club are always looking for new players to join their teams who play during the day and evenings. Anyone wanting more details can contact the Parish Council Office and we can pass on your details to the club captain.

The fees for bowling are:

Full Price: £3.00
Concessions: £2.50
Juniors: £1.50

Or you can pay a one of fee of £55 for a season ticket which allows you to play as many times as you wish whilst the green is open.

There are some woods and jacks available to use for a small refundable deposit.

If you don’t fancy playing why not just come along and watch?
